I also think it's because many people have to sit in their offices and interact too much with people related to their work, that they want to just go home and be alone for a little while. I read somewhere that people work much longer hours than decades ago (not sure if this is true) and there is less time for family and friends... that's quite sad. I mean doesn't this guy have interests, observations, opinions, stories from his youth or whatever? I can (and do) tweet alot but even people who I've met in person who follow me on Twitter are still engaged by my personality because they get to hear and see it live and in person. Hmm, maybe it's just me but, as a guy, if Twitter or Facebook is ruining your game, you probably didn't have much to begin with. I used to watch Law and Order all the time, I just can't anymore. I started getting too paranoid. It wasn't you that made me stop using FourSquare, it just made me realize someone COULD actually be that creepy. And, I just don't need it. If someone wants to know where I am, I'll tell them. I guess I used FourSqure because everyone else was and said it was the next big thing, but in thinking about it, I'm ok living without it. Sure, I get urges every time I walk into my coffee shop to check in, but at the end of the day, who am I checking in for? I know I'm there. Haha. Ok, confession. I'm the guy on Twitter who made the stalking joke. Clearly I hit a nerve. Lesson learned. Never, EVER joke about stalking with a woman. It's never a good thing. Fortunately I believe @LimorE (that's her name to me lol) when she said that she understood that I was joking. Still, crossing out stalking joke until further notice. I use Foursqaure and enjoy it but I get all the reasons @LimorE pointed out and in her defense, if you live in NYC you have to hit Max Brenners one time.
